STATEMENT

In recent work, I have been inspired to explore themes of nature, femininity, and family through collage using found images, repurposed art reproductions, and observational drawings. These are recent pieces made during the “Stay At Home” period of the COVID19 pandemic when we were all struggling to figure out what the new normal was and how we would move forward. Like many people, I was wrangling with anxiety and restlessness. These small collages and mixed media pieces were creative and emotional releases but also serve as a record of that time.
