STATEMENT

Collage is my art therapy, providing an intuitive process to organize fragments of experiences with grief, trauma, and anxiety. A large part of my art practice is to work with what I have and explore how the material pushes the art in unexpected directions. Themes that tend to emerge in my work are anxiety, loss, climate change, and mystery. I focus heavily on the composition and color of each piece, and I enjoy incorporating typography for poetics or commentary.
