I have been creating collages from National Geographic magazines, dinner menus, catalogs and old books since I can remember. My passion for collage is centered on changing context to give new meaning and life to a subject. I explore themes like female expression and recovery in my work. I also work on a commission basis.
BIO
Grace Wilbanks is a collage artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. Grace’s practice is split into two categories: commissions and independent art. Grace has been commissioned to create collages as large as 8 x 8 feet, on guitars, and spanning subjects like American rock bands and football teams. She has participated in several group exhibitions including shows at the Hudgens Center for Art and Learning, Art Groove Experience NYC, Gallery 85, Avondale Arts Alliance, and the Bakery Atlanta. She spoke on the “Putting it Out There” panel at Kolaj Fest New Orleans 2025 and has been interviewed for Shoutout Atlanta, Bold Journey and a Washington Post article on side gigs.
