I love to cut and paste; to find weird little worlds where I can explore ideas of home and human nature; from our everyday habits to the places our hearts take us in our dreams.
I’m inspired by the arc of childhood to adulthood; how adventure, magic and endless possibility gradually transform into a ritualistic, everyday existence. I try to use my collages to reconcile the two.
I work in Early Childhood Education, facilitating play for a living. I use these skills to bring images together in my analog collages.
It fascinates me how images have already been on a journey and lived a physical life in books and magazines before they come to play on my studio floor.
I love to engage the images and the stories they have to tell in a play-like process.
