Jackie Treiber
Jackie Treiber STATEMENT My work deals with the challenge of spirits that are explosive, transformational, and boundary-less in the face of nature and its descendants. Each piece functions much like the Magician archetype of the tarot, in that a central figure acts as an intermediary between the spirit world and the terrestrial plane. Often these scenes will contain psychopomps, or animals dedicated to guiding the those in search of the next step of their journey. BIO Jackie Treiber is a reformed poet and would-be short fiction writer and collage artist living in Portland, Oregon. Her written work has appeared in The Literary Review, Smalldoggies Press and Queen Mob’s Teahouse. As a collagist she spends time deepening her skills, finding ways to collaborate with other artist and eventually finding a space to exhibit. ARTIST CONTACT (971) 303-2765 IMAGES
