Jannecke Christiansen
Jannecke Christiansen STATEMENT My work has always been a mixture of different materials. Previously, I combined drawing, painting and cut-out photographs. Today, I do the same but in a digital manner. I often use archive material, from public archives or my grandmother’s black-and-white negatives, together with my own photographs. This I do to show different layers of time and perception. I want to tell dreamlike stories where the viewer always discovers new elements or meanings. BIO I was educated at The Art Academy in Bergen, Norway between 1974 -1979. My major in the academy was painting, but I have since worked with many different techniques, such as collage, photography, video, painting and site-specific works. I often combine the differtent techniques. I have exhibited, both in solo shows and with others, for many years. ARTIST CONTACT [click to email] IMAGES
