STATEMENT

I make collage in response to being bombarded by an incessant flow of exquisitely curated content that saturates the media we consume. My use of images from books and magazines is instinctive, opportunistic and somewhat vengeful. I take delight in cutting these images out or slicing them up, divorcing the images not only from their original context, but from their original form. I arrange, interleave and layer these elements into a dense surround, always focusing on the fundamental composition of the piece.
