STATEMENT
My colorful, multi-layered cut-and-paste collages explore life’s complexities and our relationship with nature, creating surreal narratives by combining fragments from vintage magazines and printed materials. Through careful layering and arrangement, these historical elements take on new meanings as I select images from the past, transform them in the present, and craft scenes that suggest possible futures where reality and imagination merge. At the heart of my work lies a deep fascination with existence’s fleeting nature and our lasting impact, depicted through fragmented silhouettes that represent the universality of human experience. While addressing themes like environmental degradation and loss of innocence, I celebrate nature’s beauty and resilience through vibrant colors and humor, inviting viewers to engage deeply with these intricate scenes that serve as portals questioning what lies beyond our present reality.
