STATEMENT

Collage for me is about improvisation and immediatism. I enjoy the idea of recycling media, playing with images in a fast and immediate manner, taking materials that were used to create advertising and making them into something more beautiful and pleasant for us to view. Collage is a way out and a way in.

BIO

Matt Taggart lives in Billings, Montana. He splits his time up between experimental noise music, mail art and collage. Collage has taken the front seat the last few years, fine tuning and exploring collage within the same parameters he uses in noise music.
