STATEMENT

Through layering, arranging, adding, and omitting, my work explores the relationship of color and composition. I use a variety of materials including vintage ephemera, painted papers, found materials, office supplies, and discarded books. My process is about building layers of materials, textures, and colors, giving them time and space to develop relationships or simply be themselves. Each piece I create highlights the give and take of intuition and intentional order. My intent is to embrace the innate qualities of the materials I choose, letting their imperfections and inherent qualities tell the story of their past while elevating them into a new form and sense of place.
