Natsumi Ito STATEMENT For my collaging tools, I use used magazines. I am making works that go hand in hand with the theme of design along daily life. As we challenge various tastes, paper collage changes the form of expression while both challenging and maintaining consistency. For that reason, my artmaking is always a growth process, it is also the realization of new discoveries. BIO Natsumi Ito is based in Tokyo. She loves paper and everything related to it. She is creates with various methods using paper. Her inspiration comes through various expressions. Her artwork is inspired by ordinary days and focuses on emotions and the imagination of life. The works express the beauty of everyday life. In other words, it is like a visual diary of life. Her work has been shown in Tokyo in both exhibitions and at events. In 2014, she self-published The Pool and in 2016, she self-published two numbered, limited edition small-press books, Lock and Mineral and Drawing Book.
