Nick Cash
Nick Cash STATEMENT Taking the New Realists as a starting point I make analogue collage/uncollage and try to push the boundaries of what collage can be. BIO Nick Cash was born in 1955. He studied at St. Martins College of Art, 1974-1975, when he also had his first Sex Pistols gig. In 1976-1977, he opened “Pollocks” Art Clothes Shop in the Brixton High Road. He has played and recorded drums with prag VEC, Fad Gadget, The Lines, Thick Pigeon, unmen, and The Members. He is the curator of the Paste Table Gallery, a peripatetic gallery of analogue collage. He has made several videos, including one on “Drumming about Architecture” and on the Craft V Craft collage boat trip on the Grand Union Canal. Since 2014, he has exhibited extensively, including Galerie Arnaud Lefebvre in Paris (2015 and 2016), Edmond Hall at Oxford University (2014), ARTicle Gallery in Birmingham (2014), Hardy Tree Gallery in London (2015), and, in 2015, with his Paste Table Gallery at the Westminster Reference Library and Ealing Central Library.
