STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like to think of my work as part therapy, part social critique. I use scraps of paper, old news articles mostly, and old photographs to tell a story. Usually these “stories” are inspired by dreams, but sometimes my pieces are a reaction to current events, and although some of my pieces are humorous, there is a darkness lurking underneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TG Villanueva (b. 1989) is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Philippines. His practice comprises collage, alternative photography and poetry. He started to pursue art full-time in 2018 and he has been featured in over ten exhibitions in the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
