STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an artist and individual, I strive for equality, stability, and sustainable life. Now, at the time of war, I feel the need to protect and promote myself as an artist and do the same for Ukrainian culture and artists as a curator. I consider myself an ambassador of the Ukrainian culture, with collage art in particular. Making art is, first, a conversation with myself. I listen, learn, negotiate with my inner child, and together we collaborate to produce a work of art in the form of collage, photography, poem, or even a sensual mixing of two tracks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am working with the problematics of sensitivity, human rights, injustice, feminism, and also the good and beautiful side of life. We are living in uncertain times, and I believe that ART is an occupation that will save the young generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annete Sagal was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1997. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in International Relations and Cultural Diplomacy from the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University (2018). She completed studies in Contemporary Art Curation (2022) and has a certificate in Art Therapy (2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sagal is a multidisciplinary artist, who works primarily in the medium of collage. She does photography, writes poems, lyrics, articles, and is a DJ. She publishes all her works in her own project, The Moment. Sagal started creating collages in 2018. She is the Founder of the first Ukrainian community of collagists, KYIV COLLAGE COLLECTIVE @kyivcollage<\/a>, and educational project, KYIV COLLAGE SCHOOL @kyivcollageschool<\/a>. She is the co-founder of CUTOUT COLLAGE ART PROJECT, the first project in Ukraine about collage art. It started in 2021 with the First Ukrainian Contemporary Collage Festival CUTOUT and then expanded by opening a collage studio in Kyiv and organizing exhibitions worldwide @cutout.festival<\/a>. In this project, she plays the role of graphic designer and content creator and manager, curator of international artists and exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is the author of the Metaphorical Associative Cards Deck “The Moment Collage”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annete Sagal is currently living and working as an Art Therapist and Art Curator in Kyiv, Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
