STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gabriel Sama has been creating collages for more than two decades. He began this artistic journey in Mexico City and has since carried it with him to various places where he has resided in the US, including New York City, San Antonio, Texas, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Considering himself a global citizen, Gabriel’s collage work reflects this identity, incorporating cutouts, images, and symbols from diverse cultures while maintaining a strong connection to his Mexican heritage. While he primarily works with traditional paper cut-outs, Gabriel also has incorporated the use of stickers, which he procures and collects during his travels worldwide, actively integrating them into his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gabriel Sama, born in Mexico, currently resides in Oakland, California. While his professional background is in journalism and editing, he has been engaged in artistic pursuits since the 1980s. He began experimenting with collage during his college years and has continued to develop this artistic form ever since. Despite not actively seeking opportunities to exhibit his work, he is optimistic that his inclusion in this directory will lead to increased visibility for his art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
