STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My approach is simple and direct. I generally apply a layer or two of acrylic paint to paper or canvas, then add pieces of torn collage, one at a time, from my bin of gathered materials. I tend to work quickly, without planning, until a piece achieves the kind of movement and balance that I like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jasper Glen is an emerging Canadian artist and poet based in Vancouver, British Columbia. His work appears or is forthcoming in The Brooklyn Review<\/em>, A Gathering of the Tribes<\/em>, Rogue Agent<\/em>, Posit<\/em>, Modern Poetry Review<\/em>, Harpur Palate<\/em>, Amsterdam Quarterly<\/em>, Word For\/Word<\/em>, and elsewhere.
