STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Kieltyka’s collage work is largely associative, combining seemingly disparate elements into new, organized narratives, many times captioned with equally inscrutable text; the goal is always to evoke larger themes through careful placement of both sign and signifier. The source material for this work is wide and varied–from popular culture, to science, to history, to fine art itself, any visual reference point is useful in context.<\/p>\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Kieltyka is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Seattle, Washington. He studied fine art at the School of Visual Arts, and received his master’s degree from the University of Colorado. He has exhibited widely, and his work has been featured in diverse publications.<\/p>\n
