STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

My process begins by finding the trigger for each piece. This is usually a single image that really catches my eye, grabs me by the throat, and triggers the all important starting point.<\/p>\n

Remixing the old with the new to create new truths, I organise and reorganise until it “feels right”.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t use Photoshop or Illustrator. My tools of choice closely mimic analog techniques. It\u2019s like working with your hands in the traditional sense.<\/p>\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Australian born and bred, I am a self-taught collage artist who works under the name Lexicon Love.<\/p>\n

I love collage art essentially because I enjoy the process.<\/p>\n

I am drawn to the surreal and unsettling and try to inject that into my work where possible, always seeking out the unexpected connections between humour and tragedy.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, it\u2019s the way in which collage art challenges traditional notions of aesthetics, which I find most appealing.<\/p>\n
