STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fascinated by the urban experience and the counter-formal nature of collage art, Kiwii creates mesmerizing kaleidoscopes using imagery she encounters wandering around her own city.<\/p>\n

Her work deals with the interplay of multiplicity and individuality. The bursting miscellany of her collages–their convergence of angles, images, colours, themes–necessitates a unique journey for each viewer: no one experience of a kaleidoscope matches another. This aligns closely with Kiwii\u2019s own notion of city life. To her, urban landscapes are webs of individual experiences; singular stories colliding and converging.<\/p>\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kiwii was born in Lyon, France. She now lives and works in Amsterdam. Studying sociology of artistic identities as well as Art History within a school for Political Sciences, undoubtedly constituted fertile grounds to Kiwii\u2019s peculiar artistic approach. By the time she graduated from her Masters Degree in Toulouse, France, in 2014, Kiwii had already experienced rich stays in London and Moscow. After a quick leap to Paris, she finally settled in Amsterdam in 2015.<\/p>\n

Re-interpreting the moves and swindles of the modern Agora through its embedded poetic (and ever-shifting) visual vividness is the call she has dedicated herself to for the past 10 years. Kiwii is currently exhibiting in Paris and Amsterdam, and working on commissions from her Dutch studio.<\/p>\n
