STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

For my collages, I use the same creative process as my filmmaking, which is the use of the materiality of the found footage images with an automatic way of creation. By the use of old imagery from other eras, I try to incorporate taken elements and make some sort of surreal narrative structure within the frame.<\/p>\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graduated from Concordia University with a Major in Film Animation, Guillaume Vall\u00e9e is interested in radical forms of animation and analogue techniques as a way of considering the direct interaction between different mediums. His work is an exploration of materiality within the creative process. In attempting to create a more complex relationship with his subject matter, Vall\u00e9e makes use of cross-medium forms that range from camera-less techniques to optical effects and found footage, often resulting in surreal and chaotic imagery. He’s currently doing a Master’s degree in Studio Arts with a film production option at Concordia University.<\/p>\n
