by Fabián Giles
The works presented in this book were developed before 1990, surviving through the years and culminating in this retrospective of material three decades in the making. Influenced by the legacy of Picasso, Braque, Hamilton and Rauschenberg, the artist began to experiment with collage, using papers, glue and various materials in a search for styles that range from random and ordered chaos to minimalism, using basic elements such as barcodes, coins and postage stamps, sensual female figures and the star as a principal motif.
