Daily Bread: Raw Meat

Daily Bread: Raw Meat

by Salamandra

Daily Bread: Raw Meat is an exhibition catalogue of the series “Daily Bread: Raw Meat”, featuring 25 images of works of the series and details, and a “Raw Meat Pin-Up” perpetual 12-month wall calendar inside of the catalogue. In this series of artworks, Lisa Salamandra utilizes advertisement photographs taken from local supermarket flyers that depict raw meat to construct the female figure. Three essays accompany the images by Steven L. Kaplan, Michel Sicard and Gérald Stehr. The essays are solely in French; the Raw Meat Pin-up perpetual wall calendar is in English and in French.
