Responding to and interacting with the King James translation of the text, Maseman uses collage to explore grief as both an individual and collective process. Rather than illustrating the source material, the layers of text, texture, and imagery connect ancient experiences of collective loss to contemporary concerns about climate change, isolation, and dislocation.
