In Kolaj<\/em> #11<\/a>, we talked about collage artist Nancy Bernardo<\/a>‘s contribution to the film studies book, _Deconstructing Brad Pitt<\/em>.<\/p>\n The volume is an anthology of essays and critical writing about the actor, celebrity and unofficial mayor of New Orleans. Bernardo provided \u201ca visual essay\u201d entitled \u201cDeconstructing Brad Pitt\u201d consisting of seven collages featuring Pitt and quotes from Jacques Derrida, for example, Can one sign with a perfume?<\/em> from Derrida\u2019s essay, \u201cUlysses Grammaphone\u201d, and referencing Pitt\u2019s role as spokesman for Chanel No. 5. In the face of so many disasters<\/em> (from Derrida\u2019s Specters of Marx<\/em>) is steampunk-themed and features images of Pitt from 16 of his films.
