Collage/Decollage by Gluing and Ungluing
10 March-2 April 2017

The principle of collage is based on the idea that things like newspaper clippings, book pages, pieces of coloured paper, or photographs are glued to a firm background. Thus, out of different materials something completely new is created. Decollage refers to the removal of the top layer, for example, by tearing at billboards or posters, to reveal the layers beneath.

This exhibition features collages and decollages by Kurt Bracharz, Florian Gerer, Kirsten Helfrich, Anne Marie Jehle, Nadine Kegele, Edgar Leissing, Philipp Leissing, Claudia C. Linder, Christoph Luger, May-Britt Nyberg-Chromy, Max Riccabona, Judith Saupper, and Susanne Wimmer.
