Maxine Gregson: Nostalgic Utopia

at Jealous in London, England, United Kingdom
11-27 June 2026

Jealous presents “Nostalgic Utopia,” a solo exhibition from contemporary artist and printmaker, Maxine Gregson. Take the scenic route and enjoy over twenty mystifying and inviting dreamscapes featuring the artist’s retro-futuristic imagery and typography. Screenprinted in the artist’s studio in East London, her works are rooted in nostalgia, where optimism is woven into flashes of gold leaf, desert vistas, and lush rainforest panoramas.

Underneath The Palms by Maxine Gregson
27.6″x19.7″; 5 colour screenprint with hand-finished 24ct gold leaf on 350gsm paperback paper; 2024. Courtesy of the artist.

“Nostalgic Utopia” features a collection of works from the artist’s catalogue spanning from 2021–2026. Like holiday photos from liminal states, photographs of bodies of water are spliced with brutalist architecture, graph paper, and vintage postcards sourced by Gregson and reimagined as part of her inviting universe.
