Rhodri Kasperbauer: PROPOCANADADA

at Kerr Street Bulletin Gallery in Oakville, Ontario, Canada
1-31 March 2026

Rhodri Kasperbauer’s work addresses contemporary issues and features bold compositions and mixed media, inviting viewers to find their own meanings through insights, paradoxes, contradictions, and humour. The word “PROPOCANADA” was created for this Exhibition. It is a fusion of the words “Propogare” (to spread information), “Canada” (acknowledging our present country), and “Dada” (a nod to that disruptive art movement). The subtitle – “Propoganda” – is a word that is often used to derogatorily describe biased or misleading information (often promoting a particular agenda or point of view). But these days, perhaps the only certainty is that the truth is uncertain and all is propaganda?

Located on historic Kerr Street, directly opposite Parati Bakery & Cafe (formerly Lusitania Bakery & Cafe), The Bulletin Gallery promotes community art in an accessible outdoor street art setting, 24 hours a day. As Oakville community members and visitors may pass by once or many times during a month, the artwork in this Exhibition aims to captivate initially, whilst also offering opportunities for deeper exploration of the artwork over time.
