You Are What You Were

COLLAGE ON VIEW

Trudy Borenstein-Sugiura: You Are What You Were
at The Nassau Club in Princeton, New Jersey, USA
11 March-6 May 2018

Using her subject’s personal papers and a range of related documents, Trudy Borenstein-Sugiura renders portraits that tell stories, experience multiple aspects of a point in time, examine memory and explore cultural identity. Although the work has been shown individually in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver and the Hamptons, this collection of 31 works provides the viewer the chance to experience the pieces as building blocks to a whole in the way of seeing below the surface to reveal new perspectives.
