Tim Harper does this with object material culture. \u201cI collect things that I find interesting: scrap wood and metal, pieces of machinery, dried vegetation and flowers, anything I think has some visual potential. These become my library of materials,\u201d wrote the artist. Following five years as a Financial Analyst, he went back to school to pursue his dream of becoming an artist. Tim now works professionally as a graphic designer, builds found object assemblages and kinetic machines, and designs public sculpture. His work has been shown in solo and group shows throughout the mid-Atlantic, and Tim has taught kinetic sculpture classes to children and adults. He is a founding partner of the award-winning collaborative Lively\/Harper Environmental Sculpture. Harper lives and works in Midlothian, Virginia.
