Here, Picasso, in the early 20th century, transformed collage into fine art! But wasn\u2019t Paris already a collage in itself? A public arena for strange and often harsh juxtapositions, both socially, ideologically and aesthetically. With the Industrial Revolution the production of print and paper became cheap and all sorts of advertisements, posters and signs were glued up to the walls in abundance. And so it goes.
