Collage Artists in British Columbia, Canada Honor Front-Line Workers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Collage artists Ginger Sedlarova and Valerie Arntzen have teamed up with artists David MacLean and Ali Ledgerwood on a project to acknowledge the contributions of front-line workers\u2014nurses, doctors, grocery and caf\u00e9 workers\u2014during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sedlarova writes, \u201cFront-line workers will soon be able to view work in a variety of spaces in our cluster of cities here we call the Lower Mainland, and if they see something they really like they\u2019ll be able to send an email telling us which piece, and it\u2019s given to them as a thank you for their hard work.\u201d The group issued a call to artists in their area who are interested in donating art to the effort. They are organizing exhibitions in \u201cwindow galleries, libraries, civic buildings and maybe even popups.\u201d They are also sharing the concept as \u201can idea for others to start in their own community.\u201d To learn more, send an EMAIL<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
