Christopher Kurts interviews <strong>Retama<\/strong>, the first collective of women composers of contemporary music in Peru, about their project to make collage seen &amp; heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How many bits are needed to make a collage? We explore the idea of a <strong>&#8220;Two-Bit Collage,&#8221;<\/strong> a playful sort of minimalism illustrated by Gregory Hom&#8217;s collage. \u201cTwo-bit often means \u2018cheap\u2019, and should by extension mean that the work is shoddy or not well-thought-through.
