Alexandra and Jeremy Ackerman express themselves differently in style and subject matter, they share a common sense of playfulness, an obsession with color, and a process that is mostly intuitive–rather than planned. They both created unique worlds; layered dreamscapes that continue to reveal themselves in unpredictable ways. Jeremy’s cut paper collages are meticulously carved with an X-Acto blade and adhered using spray glue. Alex’s mixed media collages feature hand-painted and hand-printed textiles and paper, as well scraps of vintage fabric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
