This summer marks a powerful milestone. Studio Waveland invites the public to join them in remembrance, reflection, and celebration of the creative spirit that emerged from Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath. \u201cSilver Lining: 20 Years after Hurricane Katrina\u201d is a commemorative group exhibition showcasing a powerful and diverse range of artwork that reflect the depth and complexity of the storm\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition honors the creative voices that have emerged from that shared experience and reflects on how art can be a tool for healing, memory, and resilience. The exhibit presents an array of creative expressions and mediums, amplifying the voices of over 50 artists: painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media works, installation art, textile and fiber art, printmaking, video and digital art, ceramics, glasswork, poetry and text-based art, and environmental or reclaimed art as they explore themes of loss, resilience, memory, and renewal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
