\u201cFalse Faces and Facades\u201d is a group exhibition at GaGallery in Portland, Oregon, with local collagist Kellette Elliott showcasing two of the artist’s pieces in the exhibit, I Pledge Allegiance<\/em> and Our New Reality<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both pieces were made in 2020 during the pandemic when everyone was encouraged to wear masks. The themes being the hysteria around wearing masks and how there was always one person at the store that refused. As a public school teacher, the artist reflects on how many kids didn\u2019t come to school because of fear of COVID or got very sick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
