“Wired”: Juried Exhibition of the Collage Artists of America<\/p>\n

\u201cWired\u201d is the Collage Artists of America (CAA) Spring 2013\u00a0exhibit, held at Studio FIVE08 in Santa Monica, California, USA.<\/p>\n

The \u201cWired\u201d exhibition features elements of collage and assemblage in both 2-D\u00a0and 3-D. The artists exhibiting\u00a0integrate a creative cross-section of talent and blend together in a unique display by the Collage Artists of America’s most talented artists. The show’s theme is “Wired”:\u00a0Being “wired” is to be very stimulated or excited. A device or person that is wired is\u00a0connected, either virtually or physically, to a larger whole. Something that is wired is\u00a0defined as being reinforced, supported or tied together by flexible metal filaments,\u00a0sometimes used as a conductor of electricity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWired\u201d’s juror is Anne Hromadka, co-curator and co-director at the Shulamit\u00a0Gallery in Venice, California. She is also arts administrator for the Nazarian\u00a0Family Foundation and an independent art consultant. Ms. Hromadka has a\u00a0background in printmaking, photography, and textile arts.<\/p>\n
