Dense layers of meticulously hand-cut paper media or expertly reclaimed and refinished ceramic ephemera create new scenes, narratives, and objects. Playful, humorous, and unlikely narratives emerge from the fragments as they re-relate and respond to each layer of found material.

Pink Rabbit Blush (Courting a Crush) by Bradley Parsons
12″x9″x9″; ceramic; 2026. The nostalgic motifs and materials highlight the innocence of childhood, the idolization of memory, and the absurdity of traditional societal expectations. Parsons’s drive to organize the chaos and find beauty in the wasteland provides the viewer with an opportunity to discover, connect, and be transported into a wild, lush new world.

(text adapted from material provided by the gallery)

INFORMATION

Chaos Contemporary Craft
78 North High Street
Columbus, Ohio 43215, USA
(614) 285-7629

Hours:
Thursday-Saturday, Noon-5PM
Sunday, 1-4PM

MAP | WEBSITE | INSTAGRAM | FACEBOOK

COLLAGE ON VIEW Bradley Parsons: Treasure Trove at Chaos Contemporary Craft, Columbus, Ohio, USA7 August-18 September 2026 In his unique practice, Parsons pulls from his vast library of damaged picture books and salvaged clay detritus gleaned from the beaches of…

Read more →

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[11

post-18668","post","type-post","status-publish","format-gallery","hentry","category-collage-exhibitions","post_format-post-format-gallery
A profile & interview with a beloved Portland collagist Portland, Oregon-based artist Eunice Parsons is one of the longest-working collagists in the world.
