During 2013, Kolaj Magazine<\/em> reported on several collage exhibitions in London, including Ellen Gallagher\u2019s \u201cAxME\u201d<\/a> at Tate Modern, Robert Motherwell\u2019s collage<\/a> and \u201cA Century of Collage\u201d<\/a> at Bernard Jacobson Gallery, three collage-focused shows<\/a> at The Photographers\u2019 Gallery, and a major Kurt Schwitters retrospective<\/a> at Tate Britain.<\/p>\n

Two exhibitions in early 2014 bring two major European collage artists, Hannah H\u00f6ch (1889-1978) at Whitechapel Gallery<\/a> and Richard Hamilton (1922-2011) at Tate Modern<\/a>, to the fore. A third exhibition, open only the 5th through the 8th of February, brings together the work of 25 collagistes from around the world at Marylebone Gardens<\/a> in “Return to Splendour”.<\/p>\n

The Kolaj Magazine Artist Directory currently has seven UK collage artists, including Jacob Cozens<\/a>, Cameron Scott<\/a>, Deborah Ess\u00e9s<\/a>, John Washington<\/a>, Ewan Aparicio<\/a>, Ben West<\/a>, and Alex Daw<\/a>.
