In addition to his visual art practice, Siron\u00a0has been interested in music and sound and has been a member of improvisational bands including The Spanish Apes and Flash Gordon\u2019s Ape. He has made several cut-out and stop-motion animations. His collages and photographs have been published in <em>Throttle<\/em>, <em>C.O.R.E.<\/em>, and <em>Pannus Index<\/em>. His recent work is an animation addressing bird deaths due to building collisions.<\/p>\n<p>DC-native Chris Siron followed the painting and printmaking curriculum in the Fine Arts Department at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
