California artist Bonnie Ruttan\u2019s Year of Making<\/h2>\n

An artist shouldn\u2019t underestimate the transformative power of steady, consistent practice. There is no better way to draw that out than a challenge. In September 2017, Palm Springs artist Bonnie Denver Ruttan decided to produce one collage a day for a year and then sell her output as a benefit for the Palm Springs Animal Shelter at the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Bonnie Ruttan is a multimedia artist who has lived and worked in Palm Springs, California, USA since the 1980s. Originally from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Ruttan was a psychiatric nurse before becoming an artist. In addition to the \u201cCollage 365\u201d project in Palm Springs, two of her collages, Dr. P.G.T.
