STATEMENT

I use traditional techniques such as weaving, hand knitting, coiling, embroidery, and stitching in my work. I combine comfortable materials with unexpected shapes to create pieces that are unique and thought-provoking. Similarly, I approach collaging and working with family and found photos by delving into memories and archives, both real and metaphorical. My creative process involves responding to my research with materials, resulting in art and installations that document my interpretations. These pieces are incomplete and distorted, but they reveal a fraction of the truth through my artistic lens.
