STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

I use minimal techniques of manipulation to bring forward deceivingly simple visual and conceptual considerations for the viewer to process. I am attracted to juxtapositions that initially confront stories and historical truths, asking are we materially or conceptually bound to decisions between preservation and new interpretation?<\/p>\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tres Roemer was born in Bryan, Texas. He received his BFA in Communications from State University of New York Purchase and an AOS in Graphic Design from Pratt Institute. In addition, Tres has also participated in residency programs at Rhode Island School of Design and School of Visual Arts. He has exhibited his work in solo and group shows at Dayton Contemporary, Dayton, Ohio; Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, Hamilton, Ohio; School of Visual Arts, New York, New York; Bowery Gallery, New York, New York; Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York; and Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona.<\/p>\n
