STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

My poetic investigation is based in drawing. The collage works to erase or diminish the inscriptions by overlapping. The cut draws a line in this specific work. I created landscapes with different layers of paper on personal photographs taken as travel souvenirs. The layers cover the city\u2019s skylines, leaving\u00a0just the sky visible. The colours of the papers create a scale of distance, like an aerial perspective.<\/p>\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marina Polidoro was born in Caxias do Sul in 1982 and currently lives and works in Porto Alegre, both in southern Brazil. She is a graduate of\u00a0the Art Institute of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Since 2003, she has been part of several solo and group exhibitions. Her collages have been used to illustrate magazines and books. Polidoro is the editor of Revista-Valise<\/em>.<\/p>\n
