STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I work with old textiles, paper ephemera, and beeswax to explore the boundary layers between language, memory, dreams, and the plant kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samantha Malay grew up in rural northeastern Washington State, where her family built a cabin with timbers salvaged from an abandoned homestead, hauled water from a creek, and read by kerosene lamp. Her experiences in that time and place continue to shape her work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malay\u2019s artwork has been published in multiple literary journals, and is held in The Schwitters’ Army Collection of Collage Art in Sanquhar, Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
