STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, creating is a form of movement that gives me the energy and without it I have the feeling that I am standing still. It is like an inner imperative which helps to release my thoughts and emotions. When I make my collages, the phrases that I can think of as inspirational ones, which move my imagination, are: \u201clack of permanence of the subject\u201d and\/or \u201cthe lack of permanence of the experienced reality\u201d. To create my collages mostly I use found images, but, from time to time, I mix them with my own pictures\/drawings, too. I am constantly experimenting with new techniques and materials to express and represent my ideas. By using unconnected images and having different ideas at the same time, it is essential for me to be alert to what is happening and then to reveal what I am feeling. I like producing images that encourage a viewer to feel some emotion, that cause a reaction. Modifying existing images by cutting them out, folding and rearranging them, gives me a real sense of exploration in which I can experience how the past is mixing with the intuition of the present, to form \u201creshaped reality\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sylwia Kramarz was born in Poland and now lives in the United Kingdom and works as a teacher at the Art and Design Department at The Sixth Form College. Kramarz studied in Poland at the University of Zielona Gora and finished her education with a Masters in Social and Cultural Animation with additional specialization in Art\/Photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
