STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

I came to visual art from a background in fiction writing. The medium has changed, but storytelling remains the guiding force of my work. Through cut-and-paste collage, I liberate characters and settings from vintage material and give them new life in scenes that invite the viewer to fill in the plot.<\/p>\n

BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am a collage artist and photographer living in Austin, Texas. I received my BA from the University of Texas, and was briefly a creative writing graduate student in Brooklyn, New York. Since becoming a grad school dropout, my visual art has been exhibited in galleries\u00a0throughout Texas, as well as New York and the United Kingdom. My work is included\u00a0in Gestalten’s Cutting Edges: Contemporary Collage<\/em>.<\/p>\n
