Misplaced Stories<\/em> is a romantic recording of consumerism. The book consists of documentary photographs of random meetings with its subjects throughout the city of Skopje and cities like Amsterdam, Berlin, Belgrade, etc., taken during the daily route of the authors. The subject in the photographs are physically neglected or out of place objects meant to regain their lost value. This is made possible through different scenarios i.e. stories created for them with the help of unique handmade collages on plastic foil placed on top of every photograph in the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the artist:<\/em>
Ana Jovanovska was born in Kumanovo, Macedonia. She got her Master\u2019s Degree in Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje (2016). Obtaining a scholarship, she attended \u00c9cole sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019arts & m\u00e9dias de Caen\/Cherbourg in France (2013\u20132014). She is a recipient of the Best Graphics Award Dragutin Avramovski-Gute (2013) and the Grand Prix at the VIII Youth Spring Salon from NGM-Mala Stanica (2015). She participated in the XI Biennial of Youth, NGM-Mala Stanica (2015), featured her work at Imago Mundi (2016) and was nominated for the Young Artist of the Year Award (2016). She has published the book Collection of False Memories<\/em> (2013\u20132016), the zine Along the Traces<\/em> for PrivatePrint (2017) and the zine \u201cParagraphie\u201d<\/em> with Assemblage Atlas for the AKTO Festival of Contemporary Art (2017). Her participative project Mirrors <\/em>is still ongoing. She has participated in more than 80 group exhibitions in Macedonia and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
