Artist Portfolio: Nancy Goodman Lawrence
Nancy Goodman Lawrence breaks into the third dimension in her new work. A seeming incomplete reprisal of her mandala-inspired work, what starts as a circle frays and comes apart as it moves from the centre. Lawrence sees “it as being about the complexity of life.“ Ribbons of blue, pink, and black paper move in and out of the work adding an additional layer of dimensionality.

“I enjoy the aesthetic of complex structure, for instance in drawings of all kinds of plans and layouts, but since I’m not an architect or an engineer, art is my way of finding it.”
