“The Image Collector”: A profile of Manjunath Kamath by Veeranganakumari Solanki

Manjunath-Kamath-How-come-he-is-here

Kolaj contributor Veeranganakumari Solanki profiles the magical realism of Manjunath Kamath.

In Issue Four, Solanki introduces us to Indian collage artist Manjunath Kamath, who lives and works in New Delhi.

Playing with time and space to create a magical realism, Kamath stages a set of images for the viewer to add their personal layer of interpretation and imagination; thereby creating a work that is subjective and unique in experience for every person. These brewed panoramas are created out of existing history, experiences and imagination; thereafter layered with constructed myth, imagination and fantasy.
