{th ink} 2: objectextion

In March 2020, American collagist Aaron Beebe released the second issue of {th ink}, which Beebe describes as “an art publication dedicated to analog collage with an emphasis on type.” Issue #1, which appeared in 2017, features work by Beebe and sixteen international artists. Issue #2, objectextion, concentrates on the relationship between objects and text.

Beebe dedicated this issue to “those affected by covid-19 AKA coronavirus” and in many ways this type of project, which was curated virtually, is a collage manifestation of social distancing. Thirty-seven artists from around the world, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Germany, Mexico, the United States and the United Kingdom, are featured in the issue.

Working as Aaron Beebe Collage (ABC), the artist describes his relationship to the title as “curator, graphic designer, art director, and publisher”.
